Camper Background: Junior Week is open to all campers within the age range, from any background or hometown.
“Our week is a shorter week, lasting through Wednesday evening, culminating with what we call “Water Wednesday,” where we spend most of the day playing at the pool, pond, and on water slides.
We work to build relationships with kids through various activities, while striving to teach them about Jesus. We encourage all kids to treat others with love and respect, just as Jesus expects us to do.
Our goal is for kids to fall in love with Gulf Coast Bible Camp so they will want to continue to come back for their middle school and high school years, where the conversations about Jesus are deeper and more meaningful.
Junior Week campers are loved and cared for, while burning a ton of energy and being well fed.”
Our summer age ranges from 1st grade to 12th grade depending on the week. But we open our gates to anyone and everyone year round for retreats and other weeks of camp!
Our cabins each sleep 22 total campers and staff in twin-sized bunks. Four of our cabins have attached bathrooms inside the cabin. The other four cabins have a detached bath house. The cabins are insulated and air-conditioned for comfort even on the hottest Mississippi summer days.
GCBC is staffed individually each week by volunteers from local congregations. We also have four staff lifeguards and our camp director that are here all summer long.
